Brethren in SA & NT are invited by Lodge St Alban No 38 to an Emergency meeting to conduct the above

Ceremony in Freemasons Hall 254 North Terrace, on the 14th August 2014 tyling at 6.00pm.


Parking will be not be available through the roller door on the Western side of the Freemasons Hall car park in time for the meeting.  Brethren can come in through the normal Wilson car park entrance on North Terrace. Advise the car park attendant that you are attending the Lodge meeting – there will be no charge for use of the car park on this occasion.


All Brethren are requested to be seated by no later than 6.00pm.


The Grand Master and Officers of Grand Lodge will be admitted following which the Lodge will be called off to conduct this solemn ceremony.


The Ceremonial observance which will be provided for this Ceremony of Remembrance is to do honour to departed Brethren. A recital from historical Grand Lodge records will be provided along with a power point display and voice-over of South Australian Freemasonry involvements in the Great War.


An historical booklet will be provided to Brethren attending which details the support of South Australian Freemasonry during World War 1, between 4.8.14 – 11.11.18. Freemasons were galvanized by patriotic support of the British Empire and the desire for ‘world peace’, as a consequence of our Masonic values of Fraternity, Truth and Justice.


The Festive Board will be a formal three course dinner with drinks – cost $35 per head. Numbers for the Festive Board will be limited to 80 so it will be based on first in first served.
