An invitation was sent out from the Grand Master, Stephen Michalak and his wife Jenny, along with the Deputy Grand Master, Bill Merrill and his wife Heather,  for family and friends to join them  for a Christmas lunch.

This was held in the Mumbai Room (basement), Freemasons Hall which was formerly the Chandelier Room but has recently been revamped to now be known as the Mumbai Room.

A delicious meal of turkey and ham off-the-bone and salads, followed by a dessert of fresh strawberries and cream was served, but there was a twist to the service.  What was the twist?   Well… carved meats on platters were served by the current, Immediate Past, and Deputy Grand Masters.  This could have been the main drawcard or simply everyone wanting to end 2016 on a very happy and festive note, there were more than 80 people in attendance, including a visit by Santa.

Guests were invited to bring along a gift for a child (boy or girl) who might otherwise be left out at this very special time of year. Everyone was extremely generous and  a representative from Anglicare SA collected these gifts from the Grand Lodge Office on Tuesday 6th December 2016 for distribution to the needy and presented the Freemasons with a Certificate of Appreciation.

A big thank you to all who participated!
