At the meeting of Sir Samuel Way Lodge No. 48 on 2nd July 2014 RWBro. Ralph Kirkmoe was presented

with his 50 year jewel by his lifetime friend, WBro. David Scott, which made for a very poignant evening.

RWBro. Ralph and WBro David, two brethren who formed a strong bond throughout their lives and also joined Sir Samuel Way Lodge No. 48 within a short time of each other. Their families still with the same strong bonds to this day.

RWBro Ralph’s masonic history includes:

Craft -  PJGW, Mark - PGM, Mariners - PGC, Royal Arch  -  P2ndGP,

Order of the Secret Monitor - PDepGSR, Rose Croix -  30 °

RWBro Ralph’s achievements in Freemasonry in South Australia indicate a man with strong commitment.

Ralph’s wife, Beth, who is known to so many, was unable to attend.  Beth has supported Ralph throughout his Masonic Career and has contributed in equal measure to Freemasonry in South Australia.

Ralph’s daughter Jane and her partner Greg were present for the Ceremony on Beth’s behalf - both are good supporters of  Sir Samuel Way Lodge No. 48. They are key members of the Southern Districts Pipes and Drums; Greg is the Drum Major and his attendance at the Lodge "Robbie Burn’s Nights" makes an impressive contribution to the ‘Address to the Haggis’ Ceremony.  Both Ralph and David enjoy some haggis, neeps and tatties!

Jane gave the response on behalf of the Visitors at the Festive Board. Needless to say, the smile on Ralph’s face was a picture in itself.
