Combined Craft Meeting at Tennant Creek

The Combined Meeting which this year was held on Saturday 20th February 2016 at Tennant Creek was established after the Mica Lodge No. 221 had handed in its Warrant on 31st August 1998. It ensured at least one meeting a year for Brethren in the surrounding area. The Meeting primarily brings together Brethren from the rural regions of the Northern Territory, namely The Alice Springs Lodge No. 156, The Katherine Lodge of Fidelity No. 217 and McDouall Stuart Lodge No. 219. These three Lodges alternate each year hosting this annual event.

Naracoorte Mark Lodge Installation – March 2016

Naracoorte Mark Lodge No. 53 held its Installation on the 12th of March 2016 at the Naracoorte Lodge Rooms. The occasion was enhanced by the attendance of the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of South Australia and Northern Territory, MWBro. John Carter who conducted the Ceremony. He was accompanied by the Deputy Grand Master, RWBro. David Kitching, two Past Grand Masters and a number of Grand Lodge Officers. In addition a Grand Lodge Team from The United Grand Lodge of Victoria was in attendance. This Team was led by the Grand Master, MWBro.

Lodge Baden-Powell Makes Presentations to State Rover Crews

At its Annual Uniform Night held on Thursday March 3rd 2016, Lodge Baden-Powell members, together with our Grand Master, MWBro. Stephen Michalak, the Chief Commissioner Scouts SA Branch, Mr. Harry Long and W.Bro. Hon. Michael Baden-Powell, Grandson of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout Movement and Past Master of Lodge Baden-Powell No 488 V.C. made the presentations to specific Rovers and Rover Crews.

Lodge St Alban No 38 – A Night of Nights

Traditionally Lodge St. Alban holds a “Boys Night Out” Festive Board off site from Freemasons Hall following its March regular meeting. The Worshipful Master, WBro. Glenn Spear, wanted his first working to be memorable and invited the ladies to attend the Festive Board. To accommodate the tradition of “Night Out” the meeting was held by Dispensation at the Naval Military and Airforce Club followed by a dinner. Between courses two brethren were awarded veterans honours.

Tennant Creek Mariners Meeting

Ten members of Darwin Royal Ark Mariners travelled to Tennant Creek to attend the Annual get-together over the weekend of 20th to 21st February 2016. Some of the return trip distances travelled by those attending were quite excessive. Two came from

On Thursday 25th February 2016 the Most Worshipful Grand Master MWBro. Stephen Michalak, accompanied by a retinue of Grand Lodge Officers, made an Official Visit to the Henley Lodge No. 79 to present RWBro. Maxwell Atkinson (Max as he is more commonly known) - with the GM's Order of Service Award.

The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Stephen Eugene-Paul Michalak, made another visit to Lodge Thespian No. 195 on Monday 15th February 2016 to honour WBro. Dean Fisher with a Meritorious Service Award.
