On the 12th May 2016 MWBro. Lindsay Bowes, AM, PGM and recipient of the 3rd Bar to his 50 year Jewel, had pleasure in presenting a 50 Year veteran’s Jewel to VWBro. Ian Greig, P.G.Supt.Wks., Past Chairman of the Freemasons Hall Management Committee and Retired Consulting Engineer. Their combined service to Freemasonry spans a remarkable 115 years.

Salisbury Mark Lodge No. 52 Twinned with Wallaroo-Barunga Mark Lodge No. 28 on the 18th April 2000 at a Ceremony held at the Para Districts Masonic Centre. That relationship lasted until 2011 when sadly, Wallaroo-Barunga Mark surrendered their Warrant. Wallaroo-Barunga Mark No. 28 later incorporated with Moonta Mark Lodge No.

Corinthian Lodge No. 34 and Sailability

The Corinthian Lodge No. 34, which meets at Goolwa, celebrated the ''1 year milestone’’ in its Project to assist Sailability at the GRYC at Goolwa. With assistance from The Freemasons Foundation in two Projects, the ‘''Flying Pelican’’ Logo of the Lodge has been flying high on the waters of the Goolwa Lakes.

South Australia History Festival

Tours of Grand Lodge building were held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May 2016 as part of the History Festival which saw some 200 plus people visiting the Freemasons Hall. A big thank you to Murray Olsson, Curator of the Museum, and those members who gave up their personal time to be part of sharing the history of Grand Lodge to the public. The weekend was a great success which would not have been possible without the help of the volunteers conducting the tours.

The Dick Pillar Memorial Tool Sale

On Saturday 30th May 2016, the Edwardstown Lodge held its Dick Pillar Memorial Tool Sale. The Tool Sale was a great success for the Lodge with a group of Brethren once again banding together for this important fund raising event to sell the tools collected throughout the year.

Freemasons 11th Annual Show and Shine 2016

On the 24th of April 2016, the Men in Black held their 11th Annual Freemasons Show and Shine. This event was a huge success with many motorcyclists in attendance, packing the car park at the rear of the Burnside Town Hall, where coffee and egg and bacon sandwiches were served. At 10:00 a.m. about 130 riders left Burnside Town Hall and made their way via the Southern Expressway to Kangarilla for a half hour stop at the Kangarilla Football Club.
