Glenelg Lodge's Journey to Parndana Lodge on Kangaroo Island

Bro. Corey Starkey of Glenelg Lodge was privileged in April 2018 to be passed to the second degree at Parndana Lodge. Grand Lodge Dispensation had been granted for this to occur. Eighteen members of Glenelg Lodge, in conjunction with Parndana Lodge, jointly held this second degree sharing the ritual which was near faultless in its delivery. Afterwards, a wonderful festive board was shared with thirty six people in the lodge (seen below). It was a complete success and most definitely a very memorable experience for Bro. Starkey.

Lodge of Fraternity Conducts Completion of Double First Degree Ceremony

At the April meeting of the Lodge of Fraternity No. 214, under the guidance of the Master, WBro. Denis Von Allworden, the lodge conducted the completion of a double first degree ceremony for its two newest members, Bros. R. Armstrong and S. Hall. This in itself is not an uncommon occurrence, however what was significant was the number of entered apprentices and fellow crafts who were in attendance to witness the working.

Presentation Night at the Lodge of St John

Maddison Lee and Ryleigh Crombie are the two worthy recipients of the 2017 Lodge of St. John Freemason's Scholarships. Cheques were presented by the Worshipful Master to both Maddison and Ryleigh, in an atmjosphere of congratulations and expressions of well done.

On Wednesday 17th January 2018, the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of South Australia and the Northern Territory of Australia made an official visit to the Duke of Leinster Mark Lodge I.C. - 363. The Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, three Past Grand Masters, and a large contingent of Grand Mark Officers were present to witness the Installation of Very Worshipful Master Robert Wright into the chair.

Edwardstown Lodge No. 168 - Initiate from a Long Lineage in Freemasonry

Timothy Jones, a Lewis, was initiated at the 23rd Fewbruary 2018 meeting of Edwardstown Lodge No. 168. Timothy comes from a family with a long lineage in Freemasonry. Bro. Jones' interest to join the Freemasons stems from his desire to retain the legacy as his brothers had shown no interest after his father passed away. The initiation saw a number of young Freemasons step up and deliver a near flawless ritual with other members of Edwardstown Lodge filling in the Officer roles of the absent brethren.

South Australia's History Festival 2018

On the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 2018, Grand Lodge Building (Freemasons Hall) will open its doors to the public and run guided tours of around 10 -20 people per group each day at 10:00am and 2:00pm as part of The History Festival which - one of South Australia’s largest community events which began in 2004 as SA History Week and has grown each year.
